Digimap provide a set of tools, free of charge, which enhance the Digital Map and allow easy location of properties.

Find Tool

We have refined our Digimap Find Tool with a more powerful search engine. For instance, if you now input a house number, say “21”, followed by a “,” then a “space” and the Road or Clos name, you will be presented with a much larger list to select from than in previous releases.

To use the Find Tool simply click on the Find Tool button and enter the name of the House or Road that you wish to find in the dialogue box that opens. Then click the Find House or Road button.

A new window will open showing a selection of ‘Matches’ to your search request. This list could be quite large if you have searched for a popular house name. To help, the properties will be listed by the Parish they are in. You can then select the House or Road that you wish to find by clicking on it in the list table.

When you make your selection the view then changes to the map view and the property or road you have selected will be highlighted in the centre of the view.

If you wish to find another House or Road, simply repeat the procedure as detailed above.

Toggle Photos on or off

The Photos On / Off button is simple to use but powerful in its application.

Simply click on the button whenever you wish to see the Orthophotos overlaid with the Land Parcel boundaries, Buildings and Roads.

To go back to the Map view simply click the button again to return you to your previous view.

The Area Tool

This tool gives you the ability to measure features of the map in multiple formats, Sq. Metres, Hectares, Acres, and Vergees & Perches.

Click on the tool and then click on the Land Parcel or building that you wish to measure. Remember to make the relevant theme active, e.g. Buildings if you wish to measure a building.

A text box will display showing the details of your selected feature.

You can select multiple features by holding down the SHIFT key and then clicking on multiple features of the same theme type.
