January 2009

States of Jersey Mapping Service
The new States of Jersey Mapping Service Team is currently being set up and will be responsible for the quality and the currency of the States of Jersey Mapping.

December 2008

Online Jersey Land and Property Index (JLPI).:Digimap are pleased to launch the new web services system for the JLPI to allow servers to link to the central system. Digimap have also produced an on line Address Locator system based on the JLPI in order to provide the system to people who need the most up to date information.

GPRS - GPS Vehicle location and Tracking System.:

Links Tracking Solutions in association with Digimap can now provide a system that can track your fleet of cars,trucks or vans by utilising the mobile phone network.

Combined with Digimap's Address Locator, the tracking units can be pinpointed to with in a few feet on States of Jersey Mapping, enabling a quicker and more efficient way to locate those hard to find places.

The GPRS - GPS unit is powered from the vehicles cigarette lighter socket and sits on the dashboard. Updates can be set as fast as 15 seconds and the units are controlled by a Base Station Server situated in your office.

October 2008

Digimap will be attending the Jersey Homes and Life Style show held at Fort Regent from the 6th November to the 9th of November 08. If you visit our stand please ask about recieving a discount on all photographic aerial images which are avaliable until the 20th of December 08.

August 2007

New aerial photography was take on 1st August, these images will be used as a basis for updates to the Jersey map. The island will be flown again for the new set of orthophotos in 2009.

February 2007

Latest News : The new set of orthophotos of Jersey were released in the last quarter of 2006 and distributed to most users of the photos. After some unfortunate delays, BKS the aerial survey company, are now in the final production phase of the new mapping data sets. They are confident that they will deliver the new Land and Buildings data set to the States of Jersey Mapping by the end of March and we hope to have it released to all customers very soon after.

September 2006

Important News Flash: BKS, the aerial survey company, are progressing well with the new set of orthophotos of Jersey and expect to deliver them to the States of Jersey imminently. The island was flown and the survey photos taken on 10th. June and Digimap will pass them on to the Jersey Mapping customers as soon as practicable. BKS are also working closely with Ralph Buchholz, the GIS Manager for the States of Jersey, to deliver a new Land and Buildings data set and the States of Jersey Mapping hope to have a fully revised and up to date, island wide data set released to all customers by the end of the year.
