Jersey Land and Property Index
The Jersey Land and Property Index (JLPI) is owned and maintained by the States of Jersey.
It is a centralised, official list of business and private addresses in Jersey and includes the official road names and post codes. It does not contain any peronal information.
The JLPI is a server to server based system. It is designed for use primarily within the States of Jersey but is also available to the Utilities and commercial businesses.
It allows your systems that contain addresses, to be linked to the States of Jersey JLPI so that the addresses are kept up to date.
It is already in use by a number of States departments, the Parishes, the Judicial Greffe and is also available on the States of Jersey intranet.
The system uses Web Services and SOAP to communicate between systems. Full guideline technical informaion is available from Digimap on request. There is also a duplicate JLPI web service which can be used for testing.
Address Validation Unit
The JLPI has an Address Validation Unit (AVU) which is responsible for the quality of the data. Any new or amended addresses appear in the AVU system, and these candidate addresses are checked before the JLPI is updated.
Address Locator
Although primarily a server to server system with no front end. Digimap have developed an Address Locator based on the JLPI and using the web services available.

The system will eventually form part of a new Advocates system which we will include some Judicial Greffe Pride Land Parcels.
By selecting “Address Locator”, on the home page you will arrive at an address search page. Type in part of an address and you will return matching results. The results can be viewed on an online map. New Candidate addresses can be submitted along with any amendments to existing addresses. These will then be verified by the States of Jersey Address Validation Unit.
