ArcView / ArcGIS

ArcView GIS is the world’s most popular desktop mapping and geographic information system (GIS) software. It puts hundreds of mapping and spatial analysis capabilities at your fingertips.

Spatial Analyst

ESRI’s ArcView Spatial Analyst introduces a broad range of powerful new spatial modelling and analysis features previously unavailable to desktop users.

This new extension allows you to create, query, map and analyse cell-based raster data and to perform integrated vector-raster analysis.

Network Analyst

The ArcView Network Analyst extension enables users to solve a variety of problems using geographic networks (for example: streets, highways, streams, pipelines, electric lines, etc).

These problems can include finding the most efficient travel route, generating travel directions, finding the closest facility, or defining service areas based on travel time.

3D Analyst

An optional ArcView GIS extension that helps users integrate 3D data into their analysis.

The ArcView 3D Analyst extension enables users to create, analyse, and display surface data. This generic surface modelling package is ideal for both the novice and the advanced user, its functionality answering the needs of those performing tasks related to surface analysis and display. Unique features of ArcView 3D Analyst include support for TINs and simple three-dimensional vector geometry, as well as interactive perspective viewing.

In ArcView 3D Analyst, the most commonly used functions are accessible from pull down menus and tool buttons that are added to the ArcView GIS interface when the extension is installed.

MapObjects

ESRI’s MapObjects lets you add dynamic mapping and GIS capabilities to your existing Windows applications or build your own custom mapping and GIS solutions.

MapObjects is a collection of powerful mapping and GIS components including an ActiveX control (OCX) and more than 30 ActiveX automation objects.

Developing applications MapObjects is easy and quick. It works in standard Windows development environments such as Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C++, PowerBuilder, Access and others.
